Sound Recording: Florida Scrub-Jays

Recorded on Oct. 16, 2023 Recorded in Helen and Allan Cruickshank Sanctuary, Brevard Co., Florida

A group of at least 5 were feeding, checking us out, etc. when something disturbed them. A Red-shouldered Hawk had just flown by, but I don’t know if that was related. But suddenly all the birds started squawking and darting in low across a fire access road from where we’d been watching them and disappeared into the scrub vegetation. The photo is of one of the recorded birds. I recorded this with my iPhone 14.
