Sound Recording: Mid-April Dawn Chorus

Recorded on April 18, 2021
Recorded in Laura's backyard, in Duluth, MN
I started this at 5:11 am, so well before dawn. A robin is already singing when I begin, but he’s at a distance, and it’s fun listening to birds enter the chorus. Robins predominate, with other early birds, my very first White-throated Sparrow of the year, and a flicker who comes pretty close to the microphone. Some of the tagged birds make only a very brief appearance. Dogs and a distant chainsaw are a little distracting, but not too bad.
