Laura Erickson's For the Birds

This is why this 68-year-old birder no longer does Breeding Bird Surveys–I can’t properly hear songs that I used to be the first one to pick out and identify. I noticed this one on my Dawn Chorus recording when I looked at the spectrograph, but couldn’t quite hear it. John Richardson helped me figure it out. He sings 10 times here. I don’t know if the guy singing was an adult male or an immature, but the photo is from an immature male I heard singing in my yard last year.
