Sound Recording: Morning Song: May 7
Recorded on May 7, 2020
Recorded in Peabody Street, Duluth, MN
Today I didn’t hear a single White-throated Sparrow, though there are several in the yard, all tan-striped. But the White-crowned Sparrow (one or two) sang rather often. There were only 3 or 4 goldfinches, but they’re singing more often. And cowbirds are displaying quite a bit. I didn’t edit out barking or other human sounds today. I started the recording at 6:25. It was a little windy, but way less than yesterday. Clear and cool. Major slowdown in migration. I saw a Clay-colored Sparrow in the afternoon, but didn’t get him singing.
