An adult male Anhinga flies in right at the start of this, and the chicks instantly start begging. During the 5 1/2 minutes of recording, the adult sat high in the tree, digesting his meal, and the young persistently called and begged. Other adults flew through the scene—a second pair of chicks, somewhat older, was in a nearby tree.
