Piranga olivacea
Order: Passeriformes
Family: Cardinalidae (Cardinals and Allies)
This handsome Neotropical migrant winters in South America; males molt out of their gorgeous red (or. more rarely orange) body feathers before heading south in summer. After nesting, they spend a lot of time in fruit trees, but are quiet and often overlooked.
