Platalea ajaja
Order: Pelecaniformes
Family: Threskiornithidae (Ibises and Spoonbills)
This stunning wading bird nests in noisy colonies with other wading birds, and often feeds in large groups. Other birds, from ducks to egrets, sometimes join hunting spoonbills to pick at the food stirred up by these magnificent birds.
