Antrostomus arizonae
Order: Caprimulgiformes
Family: Caprimulgidae (Nightjars and Allies)
This nocturnal nightjar, once considered part of a single Whip-poor-will species, was split because it differs by song, appearance, eggs, and DNA. Its lovely song is quieter and less piercing than the Eastern Whip-poor-will. Their ranges do not overlap.
