Pelecanus erythrorhynchos
Order: Pelecaniformes
Family: Pelecanidae (Pelicans)
This huge fish-eater scoops up fish from the water rather than plunge-diving for them as Brown Pelicans do. Many people are shocked to see these stunning birds far from the ocean, but they nest in many prairie areas of the Dakotas and upper Midwest.
Having problems with a fish-eating bird? Check out some ways to solve the problem.
