Family: Anatidae (Ducks, Geese, and Waterfowl)
This tiny goose can be abundant along both coasts in winter; it breeds in the high arctic. The form usually seen along the Atlantic has a paler belly than that usually seen along the Pacific.
Individual Brants occasionally wander inland.
